BLT Trajectory
KPLO Ballistic Lunar Transfer (BLT) Trajectory: 2022.08.05 - 2022.12.16
DSCOVR, ACE, WIND, and KPLO positions
2022.08.25
IMF passes: ACE → DSCOVR → KPLO
There are time delays among these B-field data.
This suggests that IMF propagation angle made by x axis and IMF line is not parallel to the x axis in the GSE XY plane.
2022.10.20
IMF passes: ACE → WIND → KPLO
B-field measured from WIND has delay about 10 minutes compared to ACE’s field.
From this, IMF propagation angle seems larger than the angle made by the line parallel to WIND-ACE line.
2022.11.04
IMF passes: DSCOVR → ACE → KPLO
To assume the IMF propagation angle, understanding of 3 dimensional position of these spacecrafts is needed.
